Malibu with Boo

Helllllo Hummanns of the Internet,

There is nothing I love more than exploring Los Angeles (besides Chicken of course, and if you don’t know who Chicken is, you can get to know him here). I get to live in this gorgeous city and see so many interesting things daily; like yesterday, I saw a horse and its owner on the side of a busy street in the Valley just hanging out! Besides all the crazies, I get to see some of the most gorgeous views such as the Griffith Observatory and the city views of Downtown, also very high up on that list is the ocean. A place I don’t frequent as much as I should, especially since I finally live so close. So this past week, my man and I took advantage of the opportunity and had a little date day in Malibu.  We had such a fun time exploring and of course my favorite thing, eating.

Date Day in Malibu Style

Food

We stopped at Neptune’s Net for some seafood by the ocean and then went to El Matador Beach a couple of minutes away. That beach is so gorgeous! I love all the rocks and cliffs, it gives me such Little Mermaid energy that I was just waiting for Flounder and Sebastian to come out of the ocean. We ended up finishing the day off with frozen yogurt because nothing is complete without a little something sweet. I started eating it before I could snap a picture but the shops name was Malibu Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream. YUUUUUMMM, I definitely recommend going there if you’re looking for a sweet fix in Malibu. The consistency of the frozen yogurt was perfect and didn’t have that artificial sweetness a lot of fro-yo’s have!

Style

I wasn’t exactly sure what to wear to the beach this day because it was a little cloudy in the weather forecast and I always tend to get cold near the ocean because of the god damn wind. I paired a really old pair of a mid-waist printed cloth pants; the print reminded me of the sea so I thought it was a perfect match. Then I threw on a white boat neck sweater with the sleeves rolled up and tucked the front into the pants a little to show that I actually have some sort of figure. I completed the look with gold rings and layered gold necklaces, my brown Michael Kors slides, a little cream-colored cross body bag from Forever21, and of course, a gold pair of sunglasses because you can not go to the beach without a pair! I ended up loving this laid back beach look and can’t wait to show you guys more!

What do you like to wear to the beach when you’re not tanning or swimming?? I always need ideas because I either get too cold or completely sunburnt if I don’t wear the proper items! Let me know in the comments below!
