Valentine’s Night Out
Happy Almost Valentine’s Day People!
Let’s get real, this holiday mostly sucks, unless you’re in lllloovvvveee. I’ve never looked forward to Valentines expect the candy sales that go on afterwards and all the cute pink and red decorations that Target comes out with during this time. Valentine’s is usually one holiday I just avoid all together, until this year. This is actually one of the first years that I’ve been with someone I really care about during this holiday (excluding my cat) but knowing us, we will most likely lay in bed and eat while we watch a movie. So instead of wasting my beautiful clothes, I decided to dress up and give someone else some inspiration. This is definitely not your typical Valentine’s-pink-and-red outfit you see. I wanted something that someone could wear out on any date while feeling sexy and confident.
Since I knew I did not want to wear any pink or red for Valentine’s Day. I grabbed my white wide leg trousers, tucked in this champagne low cut tie shoulder top from Nasty Gal, threw on a leather jacket to toughen the look up, and slid on a pair of black sandal heels. I also decided on a red lip to really make it pop. You can leave your hair down or also put it up in a high sleek bun for a super chic look.
One thing that I went back on forth on was leaving the bralette under this top. I took it off, I put it back on, over and over before I felt like that little touch of black really pulled the whole outfit together, plus it adds a little bit more texture to the outfit with the lace detailing.
Also, please excuse the stupid hair tie I forgot to take off in these pictures. This was the second time I tried shooting this outfit and anytime I try to photoshop it out, it just won’t work. Let us just pass it off as a new trend(;
